Tempers flared when two drivers met on the Karak Expressway on Sunday (April 7, 2024), leading to a dramatic accident that left a driver and passenger with minor accidents. The incident, which was recorded on video, has since gone viral on social media and attracted loads of feedback.
In accordance with Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the incident occurred at KM49.4 of the freeway (Kuala Lumpur-bound) at round 10.15am. Within the video, a Proton Waja is seen driving alongside the freeway earlier than making a lane change to the fitting and inadvertently impeded a Honda Metropolis.
The driving force of the Metropolis then pulled alongside the Waja earlier than overtaking it in what seems to be a harmful method. Presumably aggravated, the driving force of the Waja then chased after and hit the left facet of the Metropolis. The case is being investigated underneath Part 42(1) of the Street Transport Act 1987. In his assertion, Zaiham reminded motorists to grasp and apply moral driving to stop accidents that may declare lives.
